After completing his PhD in Classical Studies at the University of Queensland and Graduate Diploma in Secondary Education at the Queensland University of Technology, Julian published the academic monograph Tertullian and the Unborn Child through Routledge, as well as several articles on classical mythology and rhetoric. A life-long devotee of fantasy, Julian also published the epic Ashes of Olympus trilogy through Odyssey Books, the Norse-inspired Tooth and Blade and high fantasy World Breaker. In 2024, Sapere Books offered him a five-book contract for a series based on Arthurian mythology. In Signum University’s adult education program, Julian teaches creative writing, history and literature modules. He also curates academic submissions for the Signum University Press.
