Stacy Aannestad lives in Central Texas with her Norwegian husband, and writes from a comfy blue recliner accompanied by two dragons and a sloth. She is a Tolkien addict, having come to the legendarium by way of the movies, and her favorite Tolkien story is actually just a snippet from Unfinished Tales which speaks of the grave of Elendil atop Amon Anwar. It seems a fitting place for a beloved, noble hero’s (almost) final resting place. She is a music lover (all sorts), a fan of foiling sail racing (proud supporter of Emirates Team New Zealand and the Black Foils), has a B.A. in History from Arizona State University, and is a chronic illness warrior. She is also the mother of a brilliant linguist, conlanger and fellow lover of Tolkien’s world, which makes her very happy.
